Cultural Zeitgeist

Chevy's superbowl ad was chosen as ad of the day on Adweek.

The Target markets include drivers mainly young adult males and fans of transformers. It reflects our current culture because they took pop culture and incorporated it with their ads. "Dont mess with a chevy." Bumblebee is a chevy transformer stating that chevys are built strong and are tough. No one will mess with you if you drive a chevy. The ad also has a dark humor to it when bumblebee picks up the mascot that was hitting him and just throws him away then drives off. Its great because its cool and unrealistic. My observation is that, mixing something that is trendy in society and giving it a dark humorous twist will create a buzz and word of mouth. This is was attracts an audience.
